Ravens Croft Winery – Visit the beautifully located winery where a renowned South African winemaker plies his trade here in Australia. Mark studied under the famous Murray Tyrell (of Tyrell’s in Hunter Valley), and has been making award-winning wines since 1992. The cellar door at Ravens Croft is one of the highest in the Granite Belt, at 950m, and offers wines produced from the site’s own Verdelho, Pinotage, and Chardonnay vines. Enjoy beautiful views over the valley to Bald Rock while tasting wine and cheese platters surrounded by the vineyard.
Robert Channon Winery – Home of Champion Chardonnays, Verdelhos acknowledged to be among the best in the world, and the mastermind behind them all, winemaker Paola Cabezas. Enjoy the winery’s delicious offerings in stunning tasting areas, including expansive views and a cellar door surrounded by blooming flowers.
Aloomba Lavender Farm – Visit this breath-taking location with us and be surrounded by 6 acres of lavender (a total of 12,000 plants)! Learn more about the different strains, including the true English Angustifolia that provides intense blue flowers and beautiful perfume-grade oil, the Intermedia that produces delightful dried products, and the Italian and French varieties with their magnificent colours. And that’s not all! There’s also a great range of products to take home from their gift shop.
Queen Mary’s Falls – As if the sensory delights so far were not enough, we round out this tour with a visit to the awe-inspiring plunge waterfall known as Queen Mary’s Falls. Descending 40 m (130 ft) from the MacPherson Range into the Main Range National Park, this really is a sight to see. Carry that sense of wonder all the way home!
