The Blackall Range is a source of inspiration for creative people. Perhaps the clean air and the relatively small, friendly communities provide the right atmosphere.
 
We visit artists as they work as well as the galleries which showcase the world class art of local talent.
 
We follow a Gallery Trail of diversity and interest that features oils and watercolours, drawings, etchings, photographs, sculptures in timber and stone, ceramics, leadlight and hand-blown glass.
 
 If you think you've seen it all we hope to bring you something more.
 
We also feature the music of Tony O'Connor on our tour. His music brings the feel and sound of nature combined with a peaceful flow of music to help the soul relax in a busy world. He writes and records locally in the peace
of his mountain home.

Maleny has several galleries to vist. The artists' cooperative, PEACE OF GREEN, sells a wide variety of locally produced work while  ART ON CAIRNCROSS has an extensive selection of masks, paintings and sculpture to choose from. Also in Maleny's main street, GARY MYERS GALLERY features unique, impressionistic paintings and hand blown glassware. BOLD IN GOLD combines fine handcrafted jewellery made on the premises with quality artworks that depict the local scenery and wildlife.

Montville is back along the range, following the signs to this quaint village we encounter a large range of galleries. At the southern end of town, ARTBREAKING is where to go for all things in stained glass as well as free form timber works, with commissions catered for. MAIN STREET GALLERY combines painting and bronze scupture with giftware and art and design books. The art trail continues uptown with CORRUGATED ART, a unique and exciting gallery that sells contempory works by local artisans. Climbing the steps to TONY GILL GALLERIES is definitly worth the effort, with an enticing array of collectable fine art on display.

Unique red cedar sculptures and furniture by Jack Wilms are sold through ART & FASHION OF MONTVILLE. An extensive range of quality Australian craftworks including pottery, glass and hand painted silks are on sale at the EUREKA POTTERY & CRAFT GALLERY. The  RAINBIRD GALLERY displays a comprehenise variety of paintings and scupture in a delightful Queenslander with surrounding grounds.  Finally don't miss TINA COOPERS hand-blown glassware in the new Mayfield complex with coastal views to die for.
